Obituary of Daniel Krystyniak

Krystyniak, Daniel P.  age 79, a resident of Dumont for over 55 years, on Wednesday July 18, 2018.  Born in Scranton, PA he was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Forrestal.  He recently retired as a Code Official for the Borough of Dumont.   Previously he worked for the Bergen Record for 18 years. He was the owner of Insight Home Inspections, LLC of Dumont.  He was an active and proud member of the Republican Party.  He was a former coucnilman of Dumont and a former current Republican County Committeeman.  He was an avid fisherman who loved to travel.  Beloved husband of Betty (nee: Calandra).   Devoted father of Denise Krystyniak-Wrightington, Dan Krystyniak and his wife Christa.  Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Hunter, Ryan, Gabe and Matthew.  Adored brother of Joan Vassil and her late husband Tom.  Dear brother in law of the late John Calandra.        Loving uncle of Joe, Nick, Alissa, Jaimelynn, Cindy, Sharon, John and Tom,   The family will receive their friends on Friday 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”.  Religious services Saturday 11 am in the funeral home.  Interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park.  If so desired donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
