Obituary of Christopher Farulla

Farulla, Christopher Daniel, age 29, of Leonia, NJ, passed away suddenly on August 21, 2018. Chris most recently lived in Phoenix, AZ but was a long time resident of Leonia, NJ. He was a H.S. wrestling and football star.  A heavy weight wrestler or “Heavily Athletic” as the 2007 Bergen Record article stated, Chris wrestled in the NJ State Championship in AC & became the 2007 Region 2 Champion.  He later became a wrestling coach and mentor to numerous H.S. athletes.  Chris lit up any room he walked into.  His personality and smile were infectious.  He was loved by everyone he met and he made sure everyone around him felt his love.  He is survived by his mother & stepfather, Evelyn & Greg Valentine; father & stepmother, Robert & Lizette Farulla; sister and brother in-law, Samantha & Andre Lish; siblings, Victoria, Nicholas & Isabella & his friends/brothers who love him dearly. The family will receive thier friends and relatives Tuesday from 4-8pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street opposite the Fort Lee Library. The funeral will leave Wednesday 9:30am for his funeral mass in St.John RCC (Leonia) at 10am. Following he will be iniched in the Garden Mausloeum at George Washington Memorial Park.
