Obituary of Frank Spada

Spada, Frank, C., age 91, of Leonia, on Saturday December 1, 2018.  Born in Hoboken, Frank was a proud Veteran of the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict, he served as Lieutenant J.G.  He was an English Teacher for Tenafly High School for thirty years as well as a Professor for Fairleigh Dickinson University after having obtained his B.A. in English from Fordham University and his MA in English from Columbia University.  He had a passion for both reading and writing.  Beloved husband of 62 years to Helen (nee: Monaco).  Devoted father of Jerry and his wife Pam, Frank “Buddy” and his wife MaryEllen, Bob and his wife Karen, and Jeff and his wife Neslihan.  Cherished grandfather of Adam, Joe, Steven, Christopher, Alyssa, John, Aldila, Nick and Alex. Adored great grandfather of Luke, Grace and Brooke.  Dear brother of the late Mario Spada.  The family will receive their friends and family on Thursday 4-8 pm  at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”.  The funeral procession will leave Friday at 10:30 am  for the celebration of his funeral mass in Madonna  R.C.
