My whole life my Grandma has been a shining example for how to treat people and how to live with dignity and strength. She was the best and I could not be more proud to be her grandson. Love you Grandma.

To the Matranga Family, I send you my deepest sympathies at the loss of your Mom, Ethel. I worked with her at my parents’ restaurant; she taught me how to be a good waitress, all while she did her job very effectively. She was a sweet, charming, and very pleasant lady, who always acted as if all was well, no matter how she felt. She will be missed but never forgotten by the people who knew and loved her!

I will always remember my Aunt Ethal with great fondness and love. She was truly a kind and loving "Auntie." I send my most sincere condolences to my cousins with a virtual hug to all of you.
I will always remember the times when our families got together on Sunday mornings eating fresh danish from Alter's Bakery; the evenings at the Half Moon Restaurant when we enjoyed her wonderful company and great pizza.
Auntie, although I have been so far away that I could not visit you, I will always smile when I picture your face and remember your ready smile and sincere sweetness, I know you are now in very good company, playing BINGO with the angels.
Dear cousins, the pain of losing one's Mom will transition to the joy of remembering the many memories of her love, a lesson learned from having been there.
All my love,
Nettie Lizotte Fischer

To Scott, and the entire Matranga Family. I wanted to express my condolences to all of You by saying how sorry I am for your loss. I truly loved meeting your Mom, Although I met Ethel towards the end of her life, I consider it a great gift and a pleasure to have known her although for short time. in life, sometimes God puts certain people in our path, to teach us certain things, or to help us in getting through life's journey. I believe I met Ethel to allow me to know what real kindness and love is in a person, and allow me to see a true role model of a great Mom. I know that there are no words that can help fill the void of losing such an important person in ones life. But I want the Family to know that you are all in my prayers, and I will miss Ethel too. I love all of you.

Our Mother has been the sweetest, most tolerant, patient person in the whole world.
Surrounded by a very large family she would provide whatever the situation at hand called for
and never expect anything in return. She was a
Quiet spectator always coming up with solutions to many of life’s challenges. She will be missed by all who had been fortunate to have known her, all who have had the pleasure to have just
sat down and had a conversation with this most
spectacular kind woman who loved her family unconditionally. I know as her first child she ever held in her arms, she will be missed terribly
By everyone.
