Obituary of Vincent Lofaro
With immense sadness, the family of Vincenzo Lofaro of Cliffside Park, announces his peaceful passing, on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the age of 93.
Born in Bagnara, Italy, he came to the United States in 1947. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Vincenzo was a professional tailor. His expertise can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his natural ability. His attention to detail was legendary. Vincenzo was also an avid gardener, and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with those he loved. He also found a great joy in watching his favorite baseball team, the NY Yankees. Vincenzo, who was often described as a true gentleman with a vibrant smile, will fondly be remembered as such by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Concetta Lofaro (née: Furci); his daughter, Maria Angela Lofaro Appice and her husband, Frank; and his daughter, Teresa Lofaro
Cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Francesca and Martina. Vincenzo is also survived by his loving in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services, for the present, will be private. The family will be planning a celebration of life, once the current gathering restrictions have subsided.
