Obituary of William John Pappas

Pappas, William, John, age 82, of Leonia, on Saturday March 18, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Weehawken NJ. A graduate of Rutgers University and a self-made businessman still active as Chairman of Fiduciary Intermediary Ltd. "FILCO". Known for his ardent support of civil rights, his love of literature, theater, history, progressive jazz, and his ability to connect with everyone. Beloved husband of 59 years to Janet (nee: Castrillon). Devoted father of Christine Perron and John William Pappas. Cherished "Papou" of Patrick Perron. Dear brother of Katherine, Stella, George and Anthony. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday March 23rd from 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". Funeral service will be held on Friday March 24th at 11:00am at Church of the Madonna Chapel at 2070 Hoefley's Lane, Fort Lee, NJ.
