Obituary of Dorothy Dian

Dian, Dorothy A., nee; Zenorini 86, of Hollywood, Florida. Formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ passed away peacefully in Florida on Friday, April 14, 2017 surrounded by family. Born December 1, 1930 Dorothy "Dotty" was a loving mother to Kathleen A. Dian DeCarlo and Mark L. Dian and adoring grandmother to Vince R. Dian and Talia C. Dian. Beloved wife to the late Leonard "Lenny" Dian and dear sister to Janet LaManna and the late Winifred Marion. She was also a cherished friend, aunt and cousin. Dorothy graduated with a B.A. from Lady Cliff College and began her career in the pharmacy and research departments of Lederle Pharmaceuticals. Her career took her around the world. Beautiful, bright eyed and smart she was a diamond for us all. Quick to grow up she became a caring, strong and determined woman with little patience for fluff often skipping what people said preferring actions over words. Dorothy fell in love with Lenny a successful entrepreneur and businessman. They celebrated over 45 years of marriage together. Dorothy was a local Lion and national volunteer, a supporter and fundraiser to the hurricane Andrew relief efforts and an advocate and aid to the Camp Marcella and Saint Joseph's School For The Blind in Jersey City (Concordia House). Words can't describe how much our family and friends loved her and how much she will be missed. Visitation at: Frank A. Patti Funeral Home, 327 Main St. Fort Lee, NJ. (201) 944-0100.
