Obituary of Eleanor Nobile

Nobile, Eleanor, nee: Schiess, age 93, of Leonia, passed peacefully on Saturday August 21, 2021.   Born and raised in Cliffside Park to the Late Fred and Grace (nee: Paruola) Schiess. Eleanor was a graduate of Cliffside Park High School, class of 1945.

Married in 1947, Eleanor was the beloved wife to the late Joseph Nobile. In 1953, Eleanor moved with her family to Leonia, where they still reside today.  Eleanor enjoyed her younger years spending time cooking, baking, and sewing and she was happiest when doing so for others.  Known for her take charge attitude, no task was too big for her to take on. 

Eleanor will be remembered as a loving mother to Deborah and her husband Patrick Botten, a cherished grandmother to Jennifer Botten and Jessica and husband Frank Coccaro, Jr., an adored great grandmother to Louis Joseph and Frank Nicholas Coccaro, III, and a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was predeceased by her siblings, Fred Schiess of Leonia, Frank Schiess of Dumont, and Dorothy Korn of Bergenfield.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday 4 to 8 PM at the Frank A.
