Obituary of Joan A. Cologero

Cologero, Joan, A.  (nee: Franco), age 92, of Galloway, formerly of Englewood Cliffs, passed peacefully on Sunday October 17, 2021.   Born in Brooklyn she was a homemaker and Crossing Guard for Englewood Cliffs for 10 years, she also volunteered as the secretary of the Englewood Cliffs Senior Club.  Longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church and a member of the Rosary Society.  She had a passion for cooking and was known by family and friends for her Christmas time Struffoli.

Beloved wife of 44 years to the late Mario F. Cologero.  Devoted mother of Linda Abrahamsen  and her husband Peter, Leah Brenner and her husband Howard, Michael Cologero and his wife Joann, and Maria Sframeli and her husband Mario.  Cherished grandmother of Christine, Julie, Gina, Andrew, Sarah and Michael John.  Adored great grandmother of Zachary, Grace, Lily, and Caleb.  Dear sister of late brother’s Joseph, Nicholas and Peter Franco.  She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends                   

The family will receive their friends and family on Thursday 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. We do ask all those attending the service to please wear a mask for our safety and yours.
