Obituary of The Honorable John R. DeSheplo

The Honorable John R. DeSheplo, age 79, of Fort Lee, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Sunday December 26, 2021. Born in Long Branch, He earned his bachelor's degree at Fairleigh Dickinson and attended Catholic University Law School where he earned his degree. He practiced law from his legal office in Fort Lee and also owned a title insurance company named Bridgeview Abstract, Inc. He was best known in Fort Lee as the Fort Lee Municipal Judge where he served for over 40 years, he also proudly served as the Leonia Municipal Judge for over 20 years. Beloved husband of Caroline (nee: Schwab). Devoted father of Leanna DeSheplo, Peter DeSheplo, and Jarrett D'Arco. Adored grandfather of Lenny and Maddy. Dear brother of the late Joan DeSheplo. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday 3-7 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". All are asked to assemble at George Washington Memorial Park (Paramus) on Thursday at 11 am for graveside services.
