Obituary of Jasmin O. Joson
Jasmin Orda Joson, fondly called JJ by her friends, Auntie J, and Granny J to family, is now enjoying eternal rest in the loving arms of her Maker. Her sisters Amor and Minerva, and brother Fil she called Boy, together with their parents Felicisimo Sr. and Rosa nee Orda, are now welcoming her in the everlasting presence of the Lord.
Jasmin spent the past 89 years of her life supporting causes, and families in her little but powerful ways. She was a teacher, not only armed with degrees in Home Economics, Library Science and Elementary Education, but with a lot of dedication to teach grade school children in New Jersey since the 60s. She continued to be productive even as she retired from teaching through her work at the Englewood Hospital, while continuously being the strong stalwart of her sisters.
We, her family, sister-in-law Vilma, nieces Pinky (& husband Titoy), Richelle (& husband Tot), and Chette (& husband Api), niece-in-law Marose (wife of the late Tony Rey), grandnephews and nieces Joshua, Jewel (& husband Noah), Jethro, Ton, Enzo, Mishka, Nikita, Miro and Yakob and great-grandniece Eden thank our Gracious God for blessing us with the life of Granny J.
We have witnessed a life of strength, independence, thoughtful and lavish kindness in her. We can confidently say that she has likewise touched the lives of her friends, co-workers, co-teachers, students, relatives, neighbors and her loyal caregiver Gloria with her generous heart.
Our deep appreciation goes to all our family and friends who have stood by us in this time of grief, and who have been our hands and feet to love Jasmin. Under these trying circumstances, you have made life more manageable, joyful, and meaningful for us and her, through all your help, prayers and support.
Thank you, Our Merciful God for the gift of Jasmin. May she be to You, the fragrant offering of humility and complete surrender to Your Perfect Will. Embrace her for us, Lord, with Your lovingkindness.
