My name is Rick King, and I was a friend & colleague of Paul since we first met at Ciba-Geigy in 1988. I know my tribute might be too technical, but for all his science friends, I want to leave a proper tribute regarding our working relationship over the last 30+ years. "Paul was a highly respected and prolific Synthetic Chemist at our (Ciba-Geigy, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, BASF) Ardsley and Tarrytown R&D Sites. He was a very important key contributor for an impressive number of product development teams during his 43 year career. From a chemistry point of view, Paul had a broad array of skills, but he specialized in antioxidants, stabilizers, and radical scavengers for plastics & lubricants. He was author/co-author of an impressive 55+ granted US Patents, and 16 journal publications. On the human side, everyone enjoyed working with Paul; especially the early in career folks, who Paul was happy to mentor during this phase of their development. Paul was well recognized for being sharp, insightful, kind, honest, cooperative, generous, thoughtful, and always making an extra effort. He will certainly be dearly missed.”

Paul, thank you for being the most beautiful brother to me my entire life. I don’t remember life before you. You came into my life when I was 4 and have remained one of the most important examples of love, family and faith. You always protected me and loved me. The glue that held the family together. The love and adoration of my sister Gina is something of a fairytale and the love you shared and will continue to share is that of true soulmates. You both raised two beautiful children who absolutely adore you. You lived for your family. Your own family became our family. We all are mourning your loss in the physical sense but know you will be with us always as our beautiful Angel. You fought so hard and was a very patient warrior. A humble, gentle, loving, kind and compassionate soul. You made me be a better person by your influence and example. I know you know how much I love you. You always told me you did and how much you loved me. Those were the last words you ever said to me. I will cherish those moments forever. Thank you for being in my life and I know you will be watching over me, Gina, Dom & Kristen, Chrissy & Ronrico, Lexi, Francesca & Gabe, Jenny, all your brothers and sisters, nieces & nephews & there are just too many people to name…You are just SO loved and will be sorely missed. I love you always, Jodi “your fav SIL”
