Obituary of Ralph M. Walsh
Ralph Michael Walsh was born to the late Dorothy A. Walsh (nee Marino) and Thomas J. Walsh in Jersey City NJ on April 11, 1935. He attended Jersey City public schools and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after graduating High School.
While in the Marines, Ralph served in the Korean War as a rifleman and sniper, and later as a Platoon Sergeant. He served as an instructor/coach on rifle and pistol ranges due to his expertise with all shoulder and hand weapons.
Ralph received an honorable discharge and became a member of The American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans Associations. Shortly thereafter Ralph embarked upon a successful career as a banker until his retirement from Bank of America at the age of 65.
Ralph is predeceased by his wife Joan D. Walsh, brothers Edward J. Walsh and Thomas J. Walsh Jr, and his parents mentioned above. He is survived by his daughter Lynda J. Soriano and husband Peter, granddaughter Stephanie L. Usalj and husband Tome, and sister-in-law Teresa Walsh.
