Neugebauer, Bernard (Buddy) W., age 95, of Leonia, on Tuesday July 26, 2022. He was born in Bronx, NY and served his country proudly in the Navy on the USS Macon during WWII. Beloved husband of Rita nee; Guido for 72 years. Devoted father of Jeanne Churchill (Steve) Peter Neugebauer (Pat), Paul Neugebauer (Jackie), Joan Montgomery (Ian) and Phillip Neugebauer (Liz).

He was born to Ben and Mary Neugebauer, was a brother to Walter and Florence, and an uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews.
Buddy was a Regional Sales Manager for Texaco for 36 years but was most proud of his family and his work in his hometown of 68 years, Leonia, New Jersey. Rarely missing a game or an event, Bernard was a committed coach, a loyal fan, and the biggest supporter of each of his kids regardless of sport, activity or concert. He also was active in the town as a member of the Leonia Recreation Committee, helping to develop the Leonia Public Pool (where he would swim laps each day!), the "Rec" and the Leonia Soccer Foundation.
He was a lover of Lavallette and the Jersey Shore and was an adopted resident for 50 years spending the summer at the top of Philadelphia Avenue with the ever-growing Neugebauer Circle.
Buddy Neugebauer was a legendary man who was a loving husband, a great father and a doting grandfather — he loved life!
