Stephanie came into our lives when we were starting ours. She taught us a lot and her company was always special. Everyone comes into your life for a reason, but you’re not always sure why; we knew why immediately. Stephanie made a huge impact on our family and will be missed immensely.

To hear of my cousin Steffi’s death was a shock… not that it wasn’t expected but because I was just ready to call Lissy and ask how she was doing and if she was up to a call. It has been a very long and tough road for her these last few years. My last call she was her usual fun and interested self and seemed accepting of her health issues. We had laughs and talked about our kids and grand kids as we’ve done over all these years! Greg and I visited them often in New Jersey when our children were young and all had a great time. Favorite memory back then was having Cuban food brought in. Never thought I’d like it but we all did! Great memories of them visiting also.
More recently, our cousins reunion finally took place last October and Steffi was too ill to come but we got Zoom ready for her and we all passed it around and had so many laughs about family memories. It was fabulous to see and hear her and she had us cracking up as usual!!
Steffi was my closest cousin in age but most important in our close relationship over the years. I am missing her but feel her warmth and honesty and the fun we had and know she is at peace. Great mother and grandmother!❤️

Condolences to Davia, Heather, Frank, Ray all the grandkids, Mike & Steph’s extended family. My Mom has Alzheimer’s & Stephanie is one of a handful of people that Mom remembers because Stephanie was so special to her. I have known Stephanie all my life & she was my cousin-in-law… family through & through. Only good things can be said about Stephanie. I absolutely loved her accent & her laugh. I can’t believe she is gone. She will always be in my heart. Haydee Wagner

My cousin Steffi had a huge personality. As kids, all the cousins and uncles and aunts got together every summer and most of my memories are of those days. Steffi was the funniest of all the cousins--even when she wasn't trying to be funny, she was. Her gestures, her body language, her dry humor and sarcasm, the look on her face. She wore make-up before any of the others and was sexy cool when it came to clothes and hair-dos. And we adored her because she was also loving and kind, full of kisses.
Steffi was dealt a bad hand when it came to her health. But she always rallied, and when we spoke to her on the phone she tried to steer the conversation to things other than her ailments. She wanted to hear what we were doing and how we were. I wish I had more contact with Steffi as years went by. All of the cousins lived in different states and it wasn't until last summer when I flew up to NYC for my birthday party that I saw her again. She came to the party all decked out and was as funny and warm as ever. A great mother and grandmother, a friend to so many, Steffi will be missed by us all. Love you, dearest cousin.

My dearest friend Stephanie I will miss you so much. My deepest sympathy to Michael, Davia. Heather and her grandchildren. She loved you all so much and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. I will miss the phone calls and visits. We shared so many wonderful times and some hard time too. She was always there for me with something funny to uplift me. She was a great friend, wife, loving mother and grandmother. Steffie was unique, caring and always herself. I know she’s with the Lord in paradise. Probably with June, Georgette and Cheryl, watching over me. Makes me smile. Rest In Peace my friend. I’ll see you on the other side.

My godmother, Stephanie always made me feel important and loved. Hearing her voice and conversing with Stephanie brought me comfort. She had a unique way of expressing herself which made me smile. I have many memories I cherish but my favorite one of Stephanie occurred during a Christmas that we were celebrating in Pablo & Gino's house quite some time ago. We were sharing stories, telling jokes and Stephanie laughed so darn hard she peed on herself! Needless to say, we all laughed even harder and there's no denying that she was one special lady. Stephanie loved her family with passion, she enjoyed a good laugh and was infamous for her dark lipsticks and short hairdos. We didn’t see each other often but Stephanie was always important and very much a part of me. I loved her so very much and I will surely miss her. My most sincere condolences to Davia, Heather, extended family and loved ones. She certainly left a beautiful legacy in all of you.
With much love,
Susy

Though my dear and wonderful cousin Steffi could be brash and over the top at times (she had Stan's wicked sense of humor and delivery, she was a female version of Rodney Dangerfield and Edna's dignified sense of style and fashion), she had a heart of gold and a smile for everyone. As a mother hen to us younger cousins, she could crack us up with her unfiltered, gruff delivery but she always had a kind word for everyone. She loved and was proud of her Fersh family and was always interested in our lives and offered encouragement when we needed it.
I know how much our family enjoyed her when she got on a roll, she could be very funny and sweet at the same time. She had a style all her own and tried to make the most of what she was dealt in life. I have always admired her courage, her positive attitude despite many health challenges. She always seemed to have a heartfelt perspective about the sharing her journey and wanting to be part of yours.
I am glad she found joy with Michael, her beautiful daughters and grandkids. Heaven will be a funnier place with her there. Rest in peace my wonderful cousin.
Love,
Peter
