Obituary of Yolanda Iacobino

Iacobino, Yolanda (nee: Perrone), age 89, of Palisades Park, formerly of West New York, passed peacefully with her daughter by her side on Tuesday October 25, 2022.    She was born and raised in West New, New Jersey, where she had a wonderful childhood with her three loving sisters.  The “tom-boy” of the family, Yolanda enjoyed sports.   Upon graduating she met the love of her life Armando Iacobino who both were involved in the Armed Forces as Yolanda served as a “Navy Wave”.   Yolanda and Armando settled in their early years of marriage in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, finally settling in Palisades Park.   She worked in various jobs, a bank in New York, Scholastic Books, Palisades General Hospital and was the Deputy Boro Clerk of Palisades Park.    Yolanda and her husband devoted many years of service to the community of Palisades Park beginning with the development of the Palisades Park Swim Club.  She served on the recreation committee, the Little League, PTA, also serving as President, Board of Education, also serving as President and served multiple terms as a Councilwoman of Palisades Park.  Yolanda’s life has been her loyalty to country and community service and her love has been to books, casinos and friends.

Beloved wife of 37 years to the late Armando Iacobino.   Devoted mother of JoAnn, John, Paul and his wife Susan, and the late Matthew. Cherished grandmother of Gianna, Brielle, Mark, Jennifer and Lauren.   Dear sister of the late Rachel Criado, Rosanne Farina and Marie Monico.  She was loved as “Aunt Yo” to many nieces and nephews.  She will be forever missed by her faithful “fur-baby” Sabin.   

The family will receive their friends on Friday, October 28^th  from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”.  Funeral services on Saturday are Private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palisades Park Fire Department, 275 Broad Avenue, Palisades Park, NJ 07650, ATTN: Fire Department, Memorial for Yolanda Iacobino.
