Obituary of Koharik Becer
Khorik Becer, otherwise known to all as "Yaya", passed away on Tuesday, February 14th 2023 holding the hands of her son, Alan, and daughter in law, Vivian.
Khorik immigrated to this county in 1974. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, "Yaya" left her home, some of her family, and the only life she knew behind, to start a new life in a new country for the benefit and opportunities for her two sons, Artie and Alan.
If you had the pleasure of meeting "Yaya", then you had the pleasure of being in the presence of a real life angel. She touched the hearts and souls of EVERY. SINGLE. Person she met. This world was a better place because she was in it.
Yaya lived to care for her children. She lost her mother at 9 years old and learned at a very young age how to start caring for others, and since then, she never stopped. She never put herself first; her family was everything.
Beloved and devoted wife of the late Alber Becer. Devoted mother to her sons Alan Becer and Artie Becer, and their wives Vivian and Eve Becer. Cherished and exceptional grandmother "Yaya" to her grandchildren Gabrielle Chirico, Nicole Kramer, and Alexi Becer, and their husbands Dominic Chirico and Robert Kramer. Adored and exceptionally loved great grandmother to Isabella, Nicolette, and Manny Chirico, and Aubrey and Taylor Kramer.
The family will have a funeral mass on Saturday, February 18th at 10:30 AM at Madonna R.C. Church (340 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ 07024). The family respectfully asks that you do not send flowers. Instead, donations may be sent to Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR). The website is www.soar-us.org. For condolences, directions, or information 201 944 0100 www.frankpatti.com
