Obituary of Domenica Picinich

Domenica (Duma Menka) Picinich, age 88, of Palisades Park, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Domenica was born on June 1, 1934 in Sansego, Italy (Susak, Croatia) to Silvestro and Antonia Morin. She immigrated to the United States in 1955 and lived in Hoboken, NJ. After marrying her late husband John, she moved to Weehawken before settling in Palisades Park, NJ in 1975.

Domenica was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church in Palisades Park. She was a devout catholic with a profound devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Devoted mother to Nicholas, Sylvia and her husband Donald, and AnnaMaria. Cherished grandmother to John Picini and his wife Sophia, Dominique Elisano and Julia Elisano. Dear sister to Antonia Bussanich and her late husband Benito, the late Thomas Morin and his wife Orietta, Elide Vlacancich and her husband Livio, and sister-in-law to Rosa Marcotti and her late husband Ettore.

The family will receive their family and friends on Tuesday, March 14, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral will leave Wednesday, March 15, at 9:30 AM, for the celebration of her funeral mass being held at Saint Michael’s Church in Palisades Park at 10:00 AM.
