Obituary of Thomas J. Conway

Conway, Thomas J. age 82, of Englewood Cliffs, on Thursday May 25, 2023. He was born in Englewood and grew up in Fort Lee, graduating from Fort Lee High School in the Class of '58. He was a 33 year employee of the Boro of  Fort Lee, serving in many departments, the last being the Parks Department. Bored with retirement and staying home, he became a crossing guard in both Fort lee and Englewood Cliffs. Always an active community member, he served as a member of the Fort Lee Fire Department, Company #3, becoming an exempt member in 1974.   A former member of the Englewood Cliffs Lions and a Little League Coach.

He enjoyed many things, but most of all his family and after retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively. He always had a tale of their adventurous trip.

Beloved husband of Maria nee; Massaro. Devoted father of Andrew Conway and Matthew Conway. Dear brother of Dennis Conway.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday 3:00 - 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”.  The funeral will leave Wednesday at 9:30 AM for the celebration of his funeral mass in Holy Trinity R C Church at 10:00 AM.
