Obituary of Ralph A. Porrino

Porrino, Ralph, A., age 78 of Liberty, N.C., formerly a 75 year resident of Fort Lee, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023.   A proud veteran of the U.S. Army.   Ralph spent most of his career in law enforcement and fire service.   He began his career in the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and ended his career serving as Fire Marshall for several towns of Bergen and Passaic Counties.  He was a lifetime member of the Fort Lee Fire Department serving in all offices including Chief of the Department. 

Beloved husband of 48 years to the late Diane Porrino (nee: Cirigliano).  Devoted father of Melissa Porrino O’Reilly and her husband Peter, and Shari Tantillo and her husband Lou.   Cherished “Pop” of Thomas, Tyler, Nicholas, Robbie and the late Jude.   Beloved Life Partner of Carol Fecile and her children and grandchildren.   Dear brother of Robert Porrino and his wife Rose, and the late Donald Porrino.   Adored uncle, cousin and friend to all.

The family will receive their friends on Sunday September 10, 2023 from 2-6 pm at Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street Fort Lee, NJ.   The funeral will leave on Monday 9 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in the Main Church of the Madonna at 9:30 am.    If so desired, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  For further information call 201 944-0100.
