Obituary of June C. Kerr

Kerr, June, C. (nee: Rose), age 83, of Fort Lee, on Sunday November 26, 2023. Born in New York City on February 19, 1940 to the Late William and Katherine (nee: Shanks).  Beloved wife to the Late Joseph Kerr, Sr.  Loving mother to Joseph Kerr, Jr., June Keelen and the Late William O’Connor. Cherished grandmother to William, Crystal, Mackenzie and Shane.  Devoted sister to Marilyn Dundon and Allen Rose.  She is predeceased by her sisters Patricia, Dorothy, Evelyn, Elizabeth, Miriam, Gail and Lynn and her brothers, James, Edward, Roy, Wallace, William, John, Donald and Robert. Also predeceased by her beloved in-laws Anne, Virginia, Mary, Margaret, Gloria, Edward, John, William and Charles, a family that she was honored to be a member of.  Also survived by many, many nieces and nephews.

Her most cherished times were spent with family and cooking for the holidays, especially her famous corned beef and cabbage. She spent most of her life babysitting children and found great joy in watching them grow into adults. Her hobbies included word search puzzles, cooking, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, the New York Rangers, New York Yankees and drinking lots of tea.

 The family will receive their friends on Wednesday from 4-8 at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”.  The funeral will leave Thursday at 10 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in The main Madonna  R.C.
