My heart and soul go out to the family that I had the privilege to be part. Mari was my Best Friend and a Sister to me. We met in 2nd grade when she arrived wearing a plaid red dress with beautiful black shoes. I remember it like yesterday! That same day when i got home, I told my mother a new girl came to our class that was from Spain and so pretty. My mother remembers it vividly too. We instantly became friends. I will cherish all the times we shared always together in school, at her house or mine. I even went to her grandparents home for 45 days to celebrate our 15th Birthdays. What a great time we had going to the beach and Disco. We talked for endless hours. We didn't know how to hang up... No matter how far we were apart we always managed to keep in touch. She was one of the most loving, unselfish, and honest persons I have ever known. She never envied anyone or any thing. She lived for her daughters whom she loved so much. Family was the most important thing to her. Eddie was her sweet heart. I will miss calling, texting and seeing my friend whom I tried to visit every summer. I know I am selfish in my grief but I know she is in a better place with out pain! As she asked me to pray that God would take her cause she was done suffering. I will end this by saying "I Love You Mari" as we ended every conversation. Thank You for choosing and accepting me as your sister.
