Obituary of Charles F.X. Poggi

Poggi, Charles F.X., 85, of Englewood Cliffs, formerly of Hoboken, on September 11, 2016. He was born in Jersey City and served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean Conflict. The owner of The Poggi Press of Hoboken. He served as a former President and member of the Board of Directors of Elysian Federal Savings and Loan and was also a former member of the Board of Directors of Hudson United Bank. Former Trustee of St. Mary's Hospital of Hoboken, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and St. Peter's Prep. A member of Rockland Country Club and served on their Board of Governors. Long time Parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of Fort Lee. Beloved husband of Mary Patricia nee: Haggerty. Devoted father of Charles J. Poggi and his wife Theresa, Mary M. Price and her husband John, Robert F.X. Poggi and Carol A. Starkweather and her husband Michael. Cherished grandfather of Colleen, Kelly, Charles, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Christopher, Timothy and Emily. Pre-deceased by his sisters Jacqueline and her husband Charles Cuddihy and Joan and her husband Leonard Perna. The family will receive their friends on Thursday 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Friday at 10:00 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in Holy Trinity R C Church at 10:30 am.
