Obituary of Elaine Duncan
Duncan, Elaine nee: Napoli, age 77, of Old Tappan, beloved wife of David Duncan, died peacefully on November 4, 2016. She was born in Weehawken and lived in Union City with her beloved parents Joseph Napoli, MD, an orthopedist, and Mary Napoli (nee Iorio), sister (the late Diane Napoli) and brother (Joseph C Napoli, MD). After the family moved to Fort Lee, Elaine graduated from Fort Lee High School, LaSalle Junior College and Boston University. She was a teacher for the Cliffside Park and Ridgefield Park Boards of Education. A caring and giving person, she was an active member of the Women’s Club of Old Tappan, engaging in the club’s charitable work, and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Welcome Wagon Club of Pascack Valley. Elaine was a beloved daughter, wife, aunt, cousin and friend. Like her mother, she was a talented craftsperson and enjoyed doing crafts with her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The family will receive their relatives and friends Sunday 3:00 – 7:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library.” Prayer Service Monday in Funeral Home at 10:30 am.
