"Aunt Ellen" was special to me because she always made me feel important.
Even though I didn't spend as much time with Aunt Ellen as I would have liked, I relish the times we did spend together. I smile whenever I think about the time I visited her in Danville Pennsylvania. She and uncle Joe gave me access to their property to cut down Douglas fir trees to bring back to New Jersey to sell at Christmas time. We worked up an appetite which we then satisfied by eating one of the family pigs from their farm.
In Ellen Murray's service to both our family and our country, she consistently put the needs of others before herself. For this reason and for many others, I will miss her dearly.
