Obituary of Anna Canciani

Canciani, Anna, nee: Braiuca, age 94, of Palisades Park, on July 25, 2017. Anna was formerly of Trieste, Italy, and Istria. Here she met her husband Antonio Canciani, where the two were married. Devoted mother of George Canciani and his wife Elizabeth Carney Canciani, Robert Canciani and his wife Mary Canciani. Cherished nonna of Lauren Canciani and Alexandra Canciani. Dear sister of Gildo, Lidia, Maria, and Pierina. Anna was a creative force expressing her love through her cooking, producing regional Italian and Austrian dishes from her family's cultural traditions. Anna applied her fine sense of aesthetics to her tailoring, crochet, and embroideries. Anna was extremely active, enjoying workouts at her health club for 35 years, and her daily walks in the park into her early 90's. Her generosity and love of family was unsurpassed, always giving, and offering her support with empathy and kindness. The family will receive their friends on Friday 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Saturday at 10:30 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in the Historic Madonna R.C. Church on the Hill at 11:00 AM.
