Sofia was a strong, brave, loving, funny, artistic and energetic woman that never met a match she couldn't conquer. Moving her family to the US took courage that not many posses. When that brave move was made, she set my future into motion decades before I would even be born, and allowed me to live the extraordinarily blessed life I now have. She left an incredible legacy behind her. My mother Miriam. The exact mother that God intended for my sister Vanessa and I to have. For that I am also grateful. Dear Mami, You have left behind 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. What a great legacy. I have such a wonderful memories of the time we spent together doing our hair, sewing together, and going to the movies. One movie in particular that you talked about often was The Titanic and how you loved the Marco Island Theater, where you sat with a glass of wine enjoying the movie. It seems like it was yesterday and not 20 years ago. Every day at 10:00 am I would call before your daily exercises to chat and I will continue to talk to you in prayer every day at that time. The light of God surrounds you The Love of God enfolds you The poser of God protects you The presence of God watches over you Wherever you are God is! And all is wel.
