Dear Elinor and Steven, Wendell and I were saddened to learn of our beloved friend, Cathy’s death. For us, her outstanding quality among many, was honesty. Once she gave you her friendship, she never took it back. We became friends at P.S. 11 in the Bronx, close to Sacred Heart Church in the late ‘60’s. Eleanor, Jack and extended family, My deepest sympathy on the death of Catherine. I find it hard to believe that such a vibrant, lively lady went from yu so quickly. But Thank God she dies pain free and that she did'nt linger too long in pain and discomfort. She was such a bright, interesting lady and great for long chats about her travels etc. May she rest in peace and may the good Lord comfort and console you in you great loss.

So sorry to learn of Catherine's passing. Met Catherine at Saturday Mass held next door in our building and grew to love her. She was so caring and will be missed. My husband passed last month and I am sure they are both smiling down on us all.

Very saddened to hear about the sudden passing of dear Catherine. I've know her through my mother, who taught with her at from P.S. 11 and I am glad that I stayed in touch with her throughout the years. No trip back to NYC was complete without a visit with Catherine. We spoke several times a year and email made it easy for us to be connected. She was a very caring lady and I will miss her. I know she spoke so highly of her sister Eleanor and brother-in-law Jack who were so helpful in her time of need.
