Obituary of Irene Sowpel

Irene Sowpel age 87 died on February 21st in her Leonia home which she and her late beloved husband Paul Sowpel lived in for over 50 years. She was surrounded by loved ones and died peacefully. Irene was born in Russia and immigrated to New Jersey in the 1950s. Irene and her husband Paul enjoyed traveling, bird watching and attending ballets and operas. She is survived by her family Boris Alexis, Tatiana Alexis, Irene and Fred Maltzan, and Lillian Miller and their families. The family will receive their friends on Monday February 26th from 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home. Located at 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday February 27th at 10:00 AM to proceed to the burial at Brookside Cemetery in Englewood, N.J.
