The funeral procession passed by the opposite direction this morning on Route 4. What a beautiful tribute to see so many fire and police vehicles, and to see the casket draped in honor atop the firetruck. A truly powerful moment, it brought tears to my eyes. May Kevin’s family remember him with happiness and gratitude for a life well lived. My condolences to the loved ones, family, friends, and all who knew and love Kevin. Blessings and peace.

Kevin holds some of the fondest memories I have and they will never be forgotten. He was a special person in my life and I cannot express in words how privileged I was to have been his friend and brother firefighter. Rest in peace my friend as you will always be remembered.

The Leonia High School sold their utility jeep to the Civil Defense program in 1966 for $1. It was in rough shape at the time. Kevin and the other CD Junior Firemen went to work to restore the Jeep and put into service. After countless hours of stripping coats of paint, filling dents, and redesigning a suitable gas tank, the Jeep was ready for service once again. It was Kevin's leadership and attention to detail that brought this former U.S. Army Jeep back to life. It was also one of the examples that gave this young group of future members of the Leonia Fire Department credibility. Kevin took that same spirit with him into the department and continued to set a high standard for everything he was a part of. He truly exemplifies the spirit of the Leonia Volunteer Fire Department Co#1.
Thanks Brother

These are the original members of the Leonia CD-DC Junior Fire Program. Kevin is just to the right of the restored Jeep. The photo was taken on Memorial Day, 1968 in Wood Park. Kevin was the first member of this organization.

The first meeting of a father and his daughter's boyfriend is never easy. Yet we bonded instantly and maintained it for years. You blessed us with your grace, charm and dedication every second of every day. We always knew that nobody loved us more than daddy and grandpa. We will miss you every day and will look back with happiness at everything you did for us. Continue to watch over George, Evan, Laila and Jameson from heaven as you did here on Earth. I love you immensely. God speed and Good Rest Dad.

You were my first love❤. I promise to love you and miss you every second or every day. I could not have been more blessed to call you my daddy. Please watch over us; especially George, Evan, Laila, James & of course mommy. A piece of our hearts is missing so every now and then send us a sign so we know you're with us. I love you more than you could and probably ever did know❤.
