Anne was one of my grandmother's best and most cherished friends my whole life. As I grew I came to understand why Anne was so special to my family. My grandfather and mother, my uncles and aunts, and even my own father knew and loved Anne dearly. She was a remarkable soul. The most impressionable meeting I had with Anne was in New York in 2008; my mom and grandma had brought me there for vacation from California and Anne made the trek from her home in Leonia to visit us at our hotel in Manhattan. I was so impressed that she came into the crazy city just for us, but that's exactly the type of person Anne was. She held her friends close. She took care of us all, even until the very end. She may argue that point with me now, but it's true. We could always count on her for a full review of any new movie, or a recap of Downton Abbey every Monday. She would share in our sorrows if we were sad, be the voice of reason if someone was angry, and she was the ONLY woman I knew who was not afraid to tell my grandma to "just shut up" when she was on a rant about the Comcast bill or line at the grocery store. Because Anne knew what really mattered in the world, and that thing was love. She was never short on love. And she made sure that we weren't either.
What the world needs more of, heaven now has. May you rest in peaceful bliss until we can all see you again, Anne. And my deepest condolences to her immediate family whom I've never met. Your mother/grandmothers light and love was very far reaching.

We are so very sorry too learn that Anne died. She was a wonderful help to all of us here in Leonia. Whenever we went to Borough Hall for information or requests Anne was there to welcome us. She could find whatever you needed to know, so efficiently and so pleasantly. And she was always so elegant. Thank you, Anne.
