Childhood friends from Teaneck South posted a condolence
Friday, March 27, 2020
To The DelRosso Family:
I only learned moments ago about Sergio’s passing. Frankly, what began as a telephone conversation between childhood friends from Teaneck, evolved into a “Whatever happened to” discussion. As always, we thought about Teaneck Southern Little League and Sergio. There was nothing “Junior” about Sergio in those days: He has a senior smile and a Senior laugh. Just a great friend and wonderful family. We are all still too young to be saying goodbye in this way.
Condolences to the children and entire family. To those he loved and was closest, he will be missed beyond words. To those of us, and on behalf of all of us who grew up in Teaneck, your loss is our loss. Our childhood memories add a black ribbon in your memory. Take Care Sergio. If Heaven has a ballpark and canteen, save us some sodas and hotdogs until we get there. See you later. Rest easy.

Sergio was such a sweet man. He was a friend and co worker to both of my children. He always had a smile on his face, would always go out of his way to greet you, and a genuine, kind man. His sudden passing affected everyone. My heart aches for his children, his family, Jamie, Ashley and Mike who loved and adored him, as well as his Shoprite family and friends who all loved him. ShopRite will never be the same. God Bless you Sergio, Rest In Peace my friend.
All our sympathies and love,
Beth, Paul, Nick & Megan Garren

as I remember Sergio playing with him as a child, and our families being together, then as time went on we did not see each other or see much of the families together anymore, however there was always my dad Fred that came around to see family . Now you are with My Dad and mom in eternity you are with all our other loved ones that have past, we all will meet again and be one family together again, one day
My deepest sympathy to everyone

I am going to miss all the times you were to Jason's house and you shared with me the Italian recipes you made. You called me "Mom" and I loved it. I loved how you laughed when I called you my "goombah". God must have had a purpose for taking you home too soon. You are and will always be one of the best. I truly will miss you

I am shocked and incredibly saddened by the loss of Uncle Serg. He was a generous and kind man. My favorite memory of Serg is Hershey Park when he convinced me the log flume wasn't that high and laughed at me all the way down. My heart goes out to Sarah and Nicole and deepest sympathies to all of his family. -Gina

Sergio was a wonderful co worker and friend. He was a wonderful man and I was blessed to have had a chance to get to know him. He always had a nice word to say to you and with a big smile. He always shared his vacation stories and trips to visit his daughters. He was very proud of them and shared there many accomplishments. He will be sorely missed at work. I will miss him trying to change his hats as quickly as possible so you wouldn't notice his receding hairline, lol. I will miss his many jokes and his big smile everyday. I will miss his infamous line he would say, " Goodmorning Deb and I would respond fine how are you. He would say thanks for asking most people don't, lol" I will miss hearing that everyday. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart .He was one of the Best people I knew and worked with over the years. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends and loved ones. God Bless you Sergio
