Uncle Pete was an uncle by marriage but a friend by choice. Sunday evenings were dedicated to visiting at the Dimatos house and enjoying tea and dessert.
Both he and Aunt Niki welcomed you into their home and made you feel like 1 of the family. You will be missed θείο, καλό παράδεισο και πολλά φιλία στην θεία...

Uncle Pete The Special One ☝️
I was so fortunate to work for Uncle Pete & Theia Niki in April of 1994 at West Orange Diner, The Night/Overnight shift for few years and Honestly!
I was so fortunate to be working for the best Couple’s I have worked for in my Entire life and later on I got married to one of Theia Niki’s nieces and I was so fortunate to call him Uncle Pete.
Uncle Pete & Theia Niki were like the parents that I missed and with their kindness and Love I felt that my Mother and Father were here for me and at my side and not in Egypt.
Working with Uncle Peter In The Overnight Shift was Mixed of a very hard work and unstoppable laughter in the same time.
I loved every moment I spent working with him and the long hours used passed very quickly.
Uncle Pete and I used to talked about everything and anything from our family’s to Alexandria, politics, cars and boats, Car mechanic and even girls and very little about food.
Sometimes we used agree/disagree-but my love for this man was unconditional and that’s why I never ever get mad at him not even once.
Uncle Pete,
You’re One ☝️ off the kind and I don’t think the world will ever bring someone like you, Hard Working & Handyman’s, Very Intelligent and So Funny and Very Encouraging Person in the same time.
Uncle Pete, Passing was such a Shocking moment for me and it took me awhile to process It.
Uncle Pete You will always be missed, but your beautiful memories will always live with us forever.
Because you’re In Our Heart ♥️ The Special One ☝️
My deepest sympathies go out to Annette, Tina & Vicky and To the Whole Dimatos and Mihalistianos Family.
May God give you the peace that you seek? May my condolences bring you comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of this loss.
I offer you my thoughts, prayers and well-wishes during this dark time in yours.
Might His Soul Rest In Peace with our Father Jesus Christ?
Medhat Shehata. (Mike)

I was extremely fortunate to call this man Uncle Pete by my marriage to his nephew. I always looked so forward to being able to see him when we visited the East Coast because he always had a smile, always positive and encouraging words. We even engaged in a few friendly political debates. He loved life and was so interesting to talk to and above all it was clearly evident how much he deeply loved his family. Our deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved him but especially those who were lucky enough to spend a lot of time and speak with him often. He will be deeply missed.
