Obituary of Louise P. Luciano

Luciano, Louise, Phylis. nee:Sofo, age 77, of Tempe, Arizona, formerly of Fort Lee, passed peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2020 surrounded by her family. She moved to Arizona in 1995 from Ridgewood, New Jersey so her children could have a better life. She started working at ASU shortly after her arrival and retired from ASU just before her first grandchild was born in 2013. While she enjoyed her work, she was happiest when she was with her family and grandchildren. Beloved wife of Felice “Phil” Luciano. Louise and Phil met at Fort Lee High School when she was a sophomore and Phil was a freshman. They married in 1968 and traveled extensively to many countries until they had their children. Devoted mother of Nicole Luciano Katz and Michael Philip Luciano, her children were her world. She witnessed the marriage of her daughter to Joshua Katz and the marriage of her son to Jennifer Trovato. She loved Joshua and Jennifer dearly. Her world was complete when she became a grandmother to Logan and Jillian Katz. She spent every minute possible with her grandchildren and cherished every moment. She was so full of love and shared that love with all that she encountered. Louise is also survived by her brother, Louis Sofo and his wife Margaret, and many nieces and nephews.
