He always answered the phone and started with “Hiya Josh!” or “Hiya Pal!”. I will never forget his voice and will miss him dearly. He loved me and looked out for me my whole life and didn’t ask for anything. I will keep making him proud in return. I’m honored to have had his love. When we were in middle school Chrysanne took me to Huck Finn to meet her dad. There Mr. Karas stood, a commanding presence at the counter. I remember how his face lit up when he saw Chrysanne, that warm smile and his laugh.
The same warm smile and laugh I remember through the years with his family and grandchildren.
