My sister, Jeanie, and I grew up in Glasgow, Scotland with nine siblings. We didn't have much but we were all happy together making the best of wartime. Jeanie came to the U.S. with her husband, Maurice and both children in 1961. They did everything to help get Willie, Lyn and myself here as well. When we finally did get here in 1969, Jeanie and Maurice gave us a place to live for three months until we got on our feet. We owe them so much!
I have so many wonderful memories of times we shared. We did everything together such as traveling, going on cruises and dancing every weekend at the Scottish and Irish Clubs. Willie and Maurice were the best of friends and life has been different since we've all been apart. The many memories will stay in my heart till we meet again.
My love and prayers go out to Maurice and Barbara and the rest of the family. I hope you find comfort in knowing that she is now with your Dad.
Love,
Aunt Barbara

Aunt Jean was so good to me growing up. I have so many fond memories of going to Summit for weekends and summer holidays. Poor Barbara had to drag me around everywhere she went. Family was so important to Aunt Jean. I remember many parties that Aunt Jean and Uncle Maurice would host. Everyone would be sitting around and Uncle Maurice would start the sing-alongs. Many other family members would join in - including my sweet Dad. Aunt Jean would quietly be in the background making sure that everyone had a drink or something to eat. She always tried to make everyone feel so welcome and was just happy to be surrounded by the family. I also remember the big Sunday dinners where she and my Mom would spend the better part of the day in the kitchen preparing all the delicious Scottish dishes.
Sending all our love and sympathy to Barbara, Carl, Maurice, Arlene and the rest of the family.
Rest in Peace, Aunt Jean!
~Love, Lyn, Greg and Family
