I believe my father in law would agree if I said that we had a very special relationship for the past 30 yrs. So much so that we developed a unique way of communicating with each other, which required me to create a decryption dictionary. This fostered a great deal of laughter and banter, which I enjoyed immensely. I am so honored to have had the privilege of his attention, kindness and love. His dedication and affection for his grandchildren was demonstrated by his optimism and patience in engaging them in a variety of hobbies/interests and his attentiveness towards indulging them with their favorite treats. His four children were his pride and joy and he modeled for them resilience, honesty, a strong work ethic, and the importance of family. My mother in law was his best friend and his true love. I am eternally grateful for the family he created and for embracing me like his daughter. Love you, Abuelito...Alli...Alli

Dear Christine and Family, the physical separation from our family members, those who have been in our lives for very prolonged periods of time, whom we have loved, shared our victories and our struggles, received love and support; is a very difficult task for all of us. Jaime Enrique and Emilia built a very resilient family, loving and supportive of each other. It was All, about Family. It was Family and it is Family the place we feel safe, and can also be vulnerable, cause that is what family is all about, a safe haven, an anchor, a port where we can find peace and love. That is what you all received and where exposed to for 58 wonderful years. Jaime Enrique and Emilia did a beautiful job with this family, may his memories live forever, as you sip a Puerto Rican coffee, listen to the Aguinaldos, have conversations, walks on the park and celebrate family time.

Papi, I will miss our walks and our goofy antics. You showed me what true strength looks like, and how kindness, love, and faith will always prevail. Forever in my heart. I am glad you are now peacefully with Mami looking over us.
