Obituary of Nicola Pisani

Nicola Pisani, a retired tailor and life-long resident of New Jersey, died peacefully on October 22, 2020. Nick is survived by his devoted wife, Rose Pisani; his loving daughters Margaret with husband Orlando and Deborah with husband David; his adoring grandchildren, Christie, Nikkayla, and Justin Cioffi; and beloved sister Catherine Riti and loving niece Juliet Riti. Nick was born in Montegiordano, Italy on December 20, 1937 to Ettore and Margherita Pisani. At 13, he sailed to America where he worked during the day and attended night school to learn English. When he was 26, he returned to Italy where he met Rose and married her one month later. In 1965 Nick opened a dry cleaning and tailor shop with his wife and father in West New York, where they stayed in business until 2000. In 1966 he welcomed his first daughter, Margaret and in 1972, another daughter, Deborah. Nick and Rose recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on October 3rd. Nick was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved retirement life. He spent most of his time gardening, painting and was an avid soccer fan. He always had a smile on his face and so much warmth in his heart for his family and friends. He was there for anyone in need. He cherished family gatherings especially his favorite Sunday pasta & meatball dinners. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who know him. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Madonna Church in Fort Lee.
