Obituary of Athan M. Stamis

Born in depression-era Greece, Tony grew up during WWII, and like much of war torn Europe at that time, he wanted a better life. He first took to the seas and joined the Merchant Marines, and later, worked on private cruise lines as an Engineering officer. After a disaster at sea, he came to New York, and then to Bergen County with his wife, and founded his business in ship and industrial repairs: TONY STAMIS ENGINEERING, located in Ridgefield, NJ. Residing in Franklin Lakes, Tony had a passion for music, dance, fashion and food. He Loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest.
