It was such a pleasure knowing Joe. What a great guy. Always looking out for everyone. Always positive and hard working. He had an energy that could not be matched. And funny. Always made me crack up. I'm going to miss Joe as many others will. Rest in peace my friend, my brother, my man Joe Tansey.

My sincere condolences to the Tansey family during this extremely difficult time. I was a next door neighbor for over 18 years and watched the boys grow up. We have had many backyard BBQs and other fun family events. This is so very sad. Rest In Peace Joe.

My deepest condolences to the Tansey family. It's been a while since I last saw Joe but some memories of him quickly come to mind. He and I would smile and shake are heads during pop warner football at Cliffside Park #6 school when Joe's dad would yell at us for goofing off or when he would try to pump us up before a game. Another memory that comes to mind is during freshman football practice at BC. It was while I was returning a punt. Joe caught me by surprise and knocked me clean off my feet. He greeted me with a smile while I was on the ground collecting my thoughts about what just happened. He will be missed. Rest in peace buddy.
