Obituary of Alfred Daniel Fierro

FIERRO, Alfred Daniel, Esq., 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 1, 2021. He was born in Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ, on November 3, 1935. He is survived by his Holy Angels High School sweetheart and loving wife of sixty four years, Juanita (nee Tomasini); children; Matthew J. Fierro and his wife Nancy, Mark P. Fierro and his wife Amy, Paul M. Fierro and his wife Kathleen and Tamara Fierro Barrera and her husband Peter, grandchildren; Justin, Christopher, Tiffany, Kara, Amanda, Domenic, Alexis, Ryan, Kaleigh and Nicolas and great grandson, Anthony.

Mr. Fierro was the President of the Fort Lee High School Class of 1953, graduate of Columbia University and Fordham University Law School. Mr. Fierro was a practicing attorney and member of the New Jersey Bar Association for over 60 years, former chairman of the Fort Lee Democratic Party, former President of the Fort Lee Board of Education, life member of the Fort Lee Athletic Club and a founding partner of the law firm of Fierro, Fierro and Izzard of Fort Lee, NJ. Always a Fort Lee Bridgeman, he had a lifelong passion for gourmet cooking and feeding his friends and family and a love of the Metropolitan Opera and his Brooklyn Dodgers.

Funeral arrangements will be at Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ 07024 visiting Tuesday 4-8 pm.  The funeral will leave Wednesday 10:30am for the celebration of his funeral mass in the Main Church of the Madonna at 11am.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name with the Community Food Bank of NJ, 31 Evans Terminal, Hillside, NJ 07205.  For more information call (201) 944-0100 or www.frankpatti.com
