Obituary of Joanne Basciano

Joanne Basciano, age 61, of Fort Lee, passed peacefully with her devoted daughter at her side on Friday May 21, 2021. Born in the Bronx she worked as a caregiver for multiple families. Joanne was a vibrant, loving woman who cared for others before herself. She was a strong woman who overcame many obstacles always with a smile and a positive attitude. She enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying Broadway, shopping, and exercise, but most of all she enjoyed being a mom.

She was the devoted mother of Alexa Basciano. Beloved daughter of the late James and Grace Frusciante. Dear sister of Kathryn Abruzzo, Camille Bonito, and the late James Frusciante.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Wednesday at 10:30 am for the celebration of her funeral mass in Main Madonna Church at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
