Obituary of Milagros Garcia

Milagros Garcia, age 84, of Fort Lee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, April 8, 2022. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and at a very young age moved to New York City, where she lived for most of her life.  She worked for the New York City Board of Education school system for over 35 years. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughters, Lizzette Zayas, Esq. and Dr. Georgina DeCouto. She was also a caring and compassionate grandmother to Daniel DeCouto, Rachel DeCouto, Sarah DeCouto, and Rebekah DeCouto.  As the eldest sister of a large Puerto Rican family, she is survived by her siblings, Marta Albino, Norma Sanchez, Jose Edwin Garcia, Charles Garcia, Rosa Garcia, Maria Garcia, Julia Garcia, Magdalena Garcia, and Victor Garcia, in addition, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, including those who assisted her during her peaceful transition: Dr. Stephanie Garcia, Timothy Sanchez , Maria Garcia and Minister Roger Ovalle.
