I met Al years ago at White House Farm hunting week in Hartwick, New York. Al was my "roommate" in the bunk room a few times. He was the first one up in the morning, always greeting with a smile and coffee. He was a great storyteller who always spoke highly of his wife and family. A great friend to my Uncle Terry, George Kellinger, Tom Dalton and the rest of the hunting crew. He was a big fan of my wife's homemade raspberry jelly, sometimes eating it right out of the jar. I will miss seeing him this year at hunting camp.
Psalm 127 vs 3-5
Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him,
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior,
are children born in one's youth,
Blessed is the man,
whose quiver is full of them.
Rest in peace Al

I have known Al since I was 17 y/o. He was/ is the most polite, respectful and frankly one of the most content and genuine persons I have met.
…Always polite, friendly, and frankly wholesome.
I will miss him.
I am so glad he and Joanie were married.
Lovely couple. He is one of the best!

Al was an extremely intelligent and kind hearted individual. He was one of the funniest guys I knew. He hunted with my Dad and our families spent a lot of time together. My first trip to Great Adventure was with our families. I will always treasure the happy memories we shared in Fort Lee and in Walton, NY at the 7-point Rod & Gun Club. I moved to Michigan, but when I visited my hometown, Al and Joanie took me to breakfast. Sadly that was the last time I saw them both. My heart is broken for Joanie, Lori, Jaime and AJ as well as their extended families. Rest Peacefully Big Al. Fort Lee will never be the same without you.

I so enjoyed having Al as a dear friend and a comrade in arms. A generous man who would help you on a moments notice. When I would call, he would say "What do you need moved?" I'll be right over. I was often surprised when we would ride together and the knowledge he had about everything, history, stock market etc. And if you were a "bad guy" heaven help you. Miss you my friend.
