Obituary of Albert Palzer

Albert “Al” Palzer, February 1, 1949 - October 15, 2022

 

Albert Palzer, 73 years of age, lifelong resident of Fort Lee, NJ, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022.  Al was born in Englewood, NJ , son of the late Albert Palzer, Sr and Agnes (Miko) Palzer.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joanie; 3 children, Lori Eilers and husband Tom of Ramsey, NJ, Jaime Antifonario and husband Carl of Tenafly, NJ, Albert “AJ” Palzer IV of Cliffside Park, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Kendall, Rebecca, Ava, CJ, and Laila.

 

Al proudly served in the US Army and was a member of the Fort Lee Police Department for 28 years.  Al was also commonly known as “Ally the Pally” and was happiest at home watching sports, always rooting for the Mets and the Giants.  He loved history, gardening, and being with his grandchildren and family.   Al was known for being a gentle giant with a rich smile and jolly laugh.  He was loved by many wherever he went and will always be remembered for his kindness and concern for others. 

 

The family will receive friends, Wednesday 3-8 PM at the Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ (opposite the Fort Lee Library).  The funeral procession will leave Thursday at 9:30 AM. A celebration of his life and mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM with interment at George Washington Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.  For further information call 201-944-0100.
