Obituary of Brian John Cazanave
Cazanave, Brian John age 73 of Palisades Park, NJ passed away on June 8, 2023. He was born on October 29th 1949 at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ to Anselme P. Cazanave and Doris L. (nee Watts) Cazanave.
He attended Lindbergh Elementary School in Palisades Park, Cliffside Park Senior High School and graduated from Jersey City State College (now New Jersey City University) with a BA and MA in Art Education. He worked at Marx Brush Company in Palisades Park for some time.
He taught art at the Palisades Park Junior/Senior High School and also taught grades 3 and 4 at Saint Francis Elementary School in Hoboken, NJ for almost 10 years.
He lived in London, England as a child with his mother for a brief time. Later, he returned and travelled extensively through Great Britain and also visited Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.
He studied art history, French, and drawing at The Paris American Academy and received certificates for those subjects. While in France, he visited many museums, cultural centers and historic places of interest.
He worked as a library assistant and then in Youth Services at the Cliffside Park Public Library for many years.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Cynthia Cornell, his nephew, Christopher Cornell, his niece Katelyn Rivera, her husband, Moses Rivera, and their son, Gabriel. His thoughtfulness and kind heart will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
