Obituary of Anthony Lionetto
Lionetto, Anthony, "Nino", age 96, life long resident of Fort Lee, passed peacefully on Tuesday July 11, 2023. Nino was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army during World War II. Upon returning home he began his career in Engineering working primarily as a Safety Engineer retiring from Continental Insurance Co. in 1989. During his retirement he volunteered and set-up safety programs for The American Red Cross in Ridgewood. He was an active member of the Fort Lee VFW Post #2342. He spent much of his spare time building bird houses for his family and friends who treasure these magnificent creations. Being loved by him has shaped our family and his friends in the best ways possible. Anyone who met him could feel his warmth immediately. He will be dearly missed by many.
Beloved husband of 72 years to Dina (nee: Pasi). Devoted father of Dori Ann Yodice and her husband Thomas, and Michael Lionetto and his wife Rosetta. Adored Pop-Pop of Dana and Christina. Dear brother Marianne Vaccaro and late siblings Yolanda Puma and Gino Lionetto.
The family will receive their friends on Friday 3-7 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". All are asked to assemble Saturday 10:30 am in the funeral home for prayers followed by interment in Madonna Cemetery.
