Uncle Pete was a great Uncle. So many memories of Christmas at his home in Fort Lee and beyond. He lived a great, long life and will be missed by all. Rest in Peace Uncle Pete. Pete Porrino was a genuine, high spirited, out spoken, but well spoken man. One knew what his opinions were on things (whether one wanted to or not!). If I was bringing him soup or any food, he would want to know what the ingredients were, and if he liked it or not. He enjoyed meals from Vero Beach Country Club and several condo friends would gladly pick it up for him. We really loved Pete and will miss him terribly. He has a lovely family who outwardly loved him as well! May Pete rest in the arms of Jesus. Leo and Diane Dilling

Pete was a very successful businessman but we knew him as an extremely qualified condo president during Colony Club Condominum’s initial years of formation. He knew what needed to be done and he did not hesitate to make sure it was done well. I still recall coming upon him in our trash bin area giving the trash men directions on how to properly clean out that area. Sometimes my Kentucky twang and his New Jersey swagger had difficulty communicating but we managed to eventually share our thoughts. Such a dapper gentleman, he will be greatly missed driving his beloved dark green Jeep through the parking lot. He is a legend. (And he loved his Nancy. Especially her spaghetti he once told me).
