Mr. Mattessich was a wonderful man. I remember many times being with Mathilda at their kitchen table when he brought in his catch from deep sea fishing. He was always redesigning a room or working on big projects and he worked very hard. He was the most joyful man and always made me smile and laugh and feel happy and special and welcome whenever I was with him. I am so grateful and lucky to have known him! Godspeed Mr. M. Praying for all of you as you miss Ben.

Uncle Bennie was not just an uncle but my godfather and always was there to check up on me . He even came to see our daughter Ava when she was born. Will always remember fishing with him and my dad in Connecticut. Now both of you are together and can look down on all of us !!RIP Uncle Bennie.

Ben was more than just a brother-in-law to me. He was like a father and most importantly, a FRIEND to me. Always giving and completely unselfish, he found the time to do whatever was needed for everyone in his life.
