Grandpa,
Words cannot express how much you meant to me. You were more than just a grandfather... you were a father, friend and mentor, and I pray that I can be 1% of the man you believed I could be. No matter how much I failed (and it was a lot), you were always there to pick me up and believe in me, and I know you will be looking down helping all of us through all the obstacles we will face. As heartbroken as we all are to have lost the greatest man to ever walk the earth, we must focus on the joy you will now have, to finally be reunited with the love of your life. I'm sure grandma had a pile of meatballs ready for you, and you are happier than you have been in years, looking down wondering why we are all so sad. I think I speak for everyone when I say that the tears we shed are from us selfishly missing your laugh and presence, but as sad as we are, we have never been more sure that someone is in a better place than we are thinking of you right now. You have been missing your angel since she passed, and now you will both be reunited for eternity. I love and miss you Grandpa! Don't drive grandma nuts up there ok! =) I love u both and will never forget the time, love and energy you put into me and the rest of the family. You are my hero.
